Winter Wolf
Elemental Minion
Winter wolves are elementals that live in snow clouds and atop snow-capped mountains. They take the shape of terrestrial wolves, but their body is only howling winds constrained by living ice.
In many ways, they are like terrestrial wolves. They have a low, animalistic intelligence. They are pack animals with strong familial relationships. Their goals are mostly related to food and safety.
In many other ways, they are clearly elementals. Clouds are as solid as mountains to them, and they travel on fogs and mists. They speak simple phrases in Tylwyth with the voice of a winter wind.

Notes
- Aura of Ice.
Anybody who begins their turn engaged with a winter wolf is automatically Rooted as snow and ice freeze their feet into place.
- Vulnerable to Fire.
Damage from fire deals 2 Wounds to a winter wolf. An adventurer can hit them with their torch or lantern to deal damage in this way, but this Destroys that item.
- Elemental Travel.
Winter wolves can walk on water as it freezes under their paws. Winter wolves can choose to treat clouds, vapors, and mists as solid.
Greater dooms
- Breath of Ice.
When the winter wolf Attacks, discard a greater doom card to breathe a blast of ice against all adventurers in their zone. If successful, it deals a Wound and Destroys all liquid items on the adventurer's belt.
- For example, a hermetic bottle with a potion would be Destroyed, the bottle cracking as the potion freezes.
