Fungoid
Elemental Strategist
Strange mushrooms bloom in the Underworld. Some fungi are poisonous. Some fungi are harmless and delicious. Some are poisonous in an intoxicating way. A rare species of fungi appears to be intelligent.
At least, these fungi replicate intelligence by way of mimicry. Perhaps they are just a species of mimic? Or perhaps mimics are just another type of fungoid?
In any event, fungoids are shambling, seven-foot tall humanoid mushrooms that possess brain-fucking spores. Fungoids can make people see things that aren't there—even taking on the forms of their companions.

Notes
- Brain Spores.
Every time an adventurer successfully Attacks a fungoid in melee, they automatically lose 1 lore bid as a result of the mind-boggling spores the fungoid bleeds.
- Poison Immunity.
Fungoids cannot be poisoned.
Lesser dooms
- Choking Spores.
Play a lesser doom card to Silence all creatures in the same zone as the fungoid. An adventurer can Recover to clear the Silenced effect.
- Minor Illusion.
Play a lesser doom card to create an illusion of any non-living object. The illusion is merely an image—a hologram—and has no weight or substance, creates no sound, no smells, etc.
Greater dooms
- Fungal Regeneration.
Discard a greater doom card to Heal 1 Wound. This action does not count towards the one card per turn limit.
- Perfect Imitation.
Play a greater doom card to create the illusion that the fungoid is a perfect doppelganger of any person. If they are in the same zone as the original, it is impossible for an outside observer to tell who the original is. Any actions that would target the fungoid have a 50% chance of affecting the original instead. This illusion ends when the fungoid takes a Wound.
